On March 18th, the City of Lakewood announced an easier way to recycle. All allowable recycled items can now be put in one clear blue bag! This is just another way the city looks out for our residents and our environment: making things simpler so more residents will be able to participate. With so many events in Downtown Lakewood, it’s important to have ample parking.  Most streets have parking available at meters or you can park along the side streets and just walk a few steps to our events.

There are also three parking lots on the north side of Detroit Avenue and four lots on the south side of Detroit.  Always check the information on the event you are attending to see if there are any special guidelines or arrangements for parking.  You can view and print a map of  parking lots here.

Push the small button on city meters (where available) for 15 minutes free parking during the week, free after 6pm! Parking is free on weekends and holidays.
