Lakewood StreetWalk & 5K Run

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 17th 2010.

We’re shutting down vehicle traffic on Detroit Avenue (downtown area only) from 3pm to 8pm and Downtown Lakewood will be filled with lots of activities for all our residents and guests to enjoy.   This event clearly lets us celebrate active living in Lakewood.

The U.S. Army climbing wall is returning, as is skateboarding, fencing, basketball and aerobic and belly dancers – all on Detroit Avenue.  And for some excitment, the Burning River Roller Derby Team will put on some demonstrations, showing off their skating skills.  Lakewood Firefighters are also holding a tug-of-war challenge plus for those looking for a bit of exercise and don’t forget our 5K run!  If you are interested, click here and please register at Hermes Sports & Events Cleveland and find out more information.
